rain, rain, go away....

Phase two of the big build and the weather has other ideas!

So after the base was completed, it's been a wee wait for the flooring and frame to go up. A busy pal and finishing a home renovation for the parents created a delay, but we are back on the go and the excitement has returned.

A timber frame and wood clad building (of course) and a corrugated roof on order. The style of this build was inspired by my Grandad, Jock MacBeth (can'ye get any more Scottish) and his log shed in the Highlands. I always loved it as a kid on our visits up to see Granny MacBeth and him so it seemed a no brainer to me.

The wife likes a bit of research and found that for artists, light from the North is key when you're working so the window placement and workshop design has been tailored to this. Bonus to this is the amazing views over the fields, perfect for when I'm having a cuppa.

Fingers crossed the weather hold off so we can get things firmly in place before the real winter weather kicks in.

Enjoy the pics!
